2 Tops Finished this weekend!!!

I got the Saturday Sampler top finished and here it is:

The second one was a Quilt of Valor which needed it borders.

Only it was a weekday and I couldn't stay and play, alas.

New undertaking because of a new book

I rode along with a group of friends to a quilt shop down south and found this below.  YES, A new FARMER'S WIFE SAMPLER in 1930's fabrics!!   I fell in love at first sight, purchased it and made my first block that very evening.   Here are my first 11 blocks.

This block is called Blockade

 

This block is called Broken Path and I have made a mistake in and will have to disassemble it some and fix it, one of these evenings.

This last block is called Crosses & Losses.

Loyal Union Sampler block

I made this block last Friday evening before I came down with a very nasty bit of flu.
It is from the Loyal Union Sampler and is called "Constance's Pride".
