It's great because I did not have a lavender/purple white polka-dot material. The green one to the right of it is reproduction fabric I am sure thanks to the year of Barb Brackman's Stars in a Time Warp. The lovely blue roses stuff is Legacy Studio Afternoon Tea - a name I just LOVE since I love Tea time.

New Fabrics and 2 books
At the local Vendor's Village I found an applique book and an album quilts book which just up my alley at this time (see below). I also found some wonderful fabrics yesterday. Now all washed and ironed, here they be...

Barbara Brackman's Hospital Sketches applique blocks
I SOOOO wanted to do this quilt back in 2019 but I just wasn't ready to take a plunge into applique.
But thanks to the times (the shutdown) I suddenly realized it was time to begin! So here are pics of where I am at with it now.

Rose of Sharon |
Pineapple - I added some leaves at the bases. |
Mountain Laurel - got some batiks in this one. |
Love Apple (still just pinned down) |
Star of the East, also just pinned down. |
The actual cutting out of pieces is going on over on my drawing board which is next to the window. |

Happy Labor Day buys!
Had a grand time at Jo-Ann's this morning. Finally got a 12" x 6" ruler, two more hand-quilting threads in certain colors I wanted, and a bunch of fabric!
Anniversary Table Runner finally finished!
I made this pattern years ago from a magazine which called it "Music Garden". Last year on a whim I got the runner and two mats from extra blocks sandwiched. This year I finally quilted them.
These were the colors I used in my wedding, 20 years ago.
This picture shows the colors best.

Things done and things working on...
There is this autumn leaf quilt which I am suddenly getting back to...fall is after all, nearly here. I was going to machine quilt it in sections but I have decided it needs to be hand quilted...alas...in sections.
