I am working on 2 "Quilts of Valor" and my work allows me 2 days per year to work on them as Community Service - so yesterday was one of them. And here are photos of my work below. I was putting together squares I had done in 2012 and got all the sashing, cornerstones & border chosen and cut out and got perhaps half-done with sewing them together.
This is my beloved Singer 301 and my sew-day caddy in blacks & whites.
These rounds of churn dashes & butterflies has been sitting about all done but for 9 of them since 2012 sometime, maybe even longer. Thanks to a sew day and happy news medically, I finished them off and got it all sewn together. Now on to the 56 T's!
...my arms gave out. I stressed them too much doing the outer machine quilting and binding all in one evening. I got through one and one-half sides of the binding and had to stop. My arms are badly stressed and ALL sewing and quilting is on hold.
After taking these two pictures I had to put it away so I would not be tempted to sew on it. At least I can look at on the blog for now....
