Made in 2009 from a Fon's & Porter pattern with a few of my own changes.

Seven Sisters block

Thanks to Barb Brackman's Civil War Quilts blog I was reminded how much I wanted to make a Seven Sisters quilt.  I inherited a precut kit of diamonds and played around them some but finally, I have decided to make them into seven sisters blocks.  Here is the first one.  I'm hand-sewing them together because they are easier.

This is just some blocks I made laid out and pinned onto a felt.  The picture is a bit washed out as the colors are much more vibrant.   Still, I got this done.

New yellow fabric!

Reading about Chrome Yellow on Barbara Brackman's Civil War Quilts blog really got me wanting some for my own collection.  Here is my stack of new yellows minus one that was still in the mail.
I have already washed them, and cut some up for some Chrome Yellow Variable Stars...I just loooove them!!
